Bio

"Through the dark struggles of life, we emerge: strong, shining, and joyous." With soaring harmonies and playful acoustic arrangements, Colorado band Still, We Rise gives voice to the rollercoaster of life through the eyes of Anastasia Rose (vocals, guitar, piano, ukulele, percussion) and Sara Giita (vocals, piano). As classically trained musicians turned acoustic singer-songwriters, they bring joy and depth to their inspiring songs, interspersed with cover favorites by The Beatles, Bob Marley, Sara Bareilles and more. Separately, Sara and Anastasia have earned multiple music degrees and played for crowds from 20 to 2000 across the US and abroad. Together, they give a passionate and captivating performance with their beautiful vocals taking center stage.

Vocalist Sara Giita's original songs illuminate her journey from assault survivor to empowered diva. Her clear, shimmering voice breathes life to her message of personal transformation and spiritual awakening. She began as a perfectionistic classical musician, until two international concert tours as a backup singer revealed her life's purpose. Sara Giita the singer-songwriter was born. Through songwriting, she learned to transform her trauma and express her long-suppressed truth.  In 2009, she poured her soul into her debut album, Take the Leap, which is available on iTunes, Spotify, and Google Play Music. To read Sara's full story, visit http://saragiita.com/biography.

Multi-instrumentalist Anastasia Rose dedicates her life to empowering others through music as a performer, songwriter, and music therapist. Seeing first-hand the transformational power of music in her own life, she was driven to earn a master's degree in music therapy and now serves diverse populations at a state psychiatric hospital. Compassion and strength radiate through each chord of her music, which merges impressive technical skill with heartfelt musicality. Whether on vocals, piano, guitar, ukulele, French horn, percussion, drums, or accordion, Anastasia Rose is surprising powerhouse with a down-to-Earth folk-pop style.
